Biggest Bust of the Year
While there were several artists who could have easily been named the Biggest Bust of the Year for different reasons (crying about real constructive criticism in a review, feeling entitled for no reason, or paying out hundreds or thousands of dollars for a feature from a well-known artist then bombing the entire opportunity), there is no doubt in my mind of one thing- There will not be a single argument from anyone, aside from Crash himself, about the winner of the first ever Biggest Bust of the Year Award.
Aside from not being able to handle constructive criticism well at all, Crash Barbosa decided to put on an unprofessional display by publicly saying “the review was biased” and questioning what “authority” The Write Reviews had to write a review on his Checks and Balances album. Well, since Crash paid for the review package, I would say he is the one that gave us the authority to write up the review, and if we are biased in writing our reviews then why didn’t he take note of that anywhere else before purchasing the package? He stooped to elementary school name-calling and continued for a couple months after the review had been posted, until a lyricist by the name of Illitant became so tired of hearing it that he dropped a diss track on Crash Barbosa, ripping the California “emcee” to shreds and causing Crash to hide in shame instead of return with a diss of his own.
